18 Things Every Man Should Know How To Do In 2018

Happy New Year!

Today is extra special because it marks the three year anniversary of Masculinity Rising.

On January 1st, 2015, I changed the direction of my life and I will never be turning back.

Since starting the blog, I’ve noticed two major dualities online.

In one camp, you have good men who are constantly building up those around them. Men who are strong, confident, and respected.

In another camp, you have weakened shells of men who are racing to the bottom of degeneracy. Men who are frail, lost, and afraid.

And no, this isn’t #GymBro versus #SoyBoy.

This is a group of unbreakable men who reject the lies of society and march forward creating their own reality within this twisted matrix of faux outrage and degenerate culture.

Somehow, being a man has become evil.

If you are a man, you’re expected to be a weak little boy cowering in the corner. You’re supposed to believe you’re the racist, sexist, bigoted power-structure that plagues the world. You’re supposed to step aside and let others shine in your place…

The only catch is you’re a gorilla trapped inside a mental ward of chimps throwing poop at you.

Sure, you could thrash their brainwashed little brains out… but is it honestly a fair fight?

Damn right it’s a fair fight.

When people try to shame you simply for your existence, make your existence known.

You’re the successful one. You’re the one going about your day, living life as you please.

They’re the ones sitting at home, raging about you non-stop, day after day. They’re the ones who are obsessed… with you.

You don’t even know who they are.

There’s a lesson in that.

Focus on YOU.

How?

Glad you asked.

As a man in 2018, here are 18 things you should know how to do.

There is nothing special about this list… and everything is special about this list.

These are the timeless abilities a man must have to succeed and live a happy life. When a society champions degeneracy, champions rise from the ashes of a fallen masculinity.

1) Lift weights.

The Temple of Iron forges new men from their very own flesh.

Get in the gym.

Lift weights.

Lift like a bodybuilder, powerlifter, CrossFitter… I don’t care.

Just get in the gym and lift some heavy ass weights. Men are not meant to be small and weak.

Look around you. What do you see?

Small, frail men made of soy.

Lifting weights will improve every other area of your life, physically and mentally.

From your confidence, to your style and appearance, to your relationships with beautiful women and powerful men.

When your “competition” doesn’t even lift, you don’t have competition.

It’s never been easier to set yourself apart from the crowd. It starts by lifting weights.

It continues with the rest of this list.

2) Eat like an animal.

Eat big. Get big. It’s that simple.

You have to fuel those training sessions with something.

Opt for healthy, whole food options. Shop along the outer wall of the grocery store and you’ll usually be good.

Get your meats and veggies, try to be healthy, but feel free to have fast food every now and then.

Enjoy yourself. Eat what you like, on top of a well-designed meal plan.

If you’re actually training like an animal, you’ll need the calories.

Oh, and fuck soy.

3) Think for himself.

Reject the narratives and the propaganda.

Don’t allow the programming to take hold within your mind.

It’s all around you.

When you can objectively observe something to be false, yet someone else prattles on and on about how it’s true, that person is a liar.

When you determine someone lies to you, that person cannot and should not be trusted.

Same for organizations and institutions.

Experience the world yourself. Read books. Study. Apply. And then come to conclusions.

Don’t let the world brainwash you into a false reality.

4) Have a plan.

If you don’t know where you are and where you’re going, how do you expect to reach your destination?

Through hopes and dreams? Good luck with that.

You need to have a plan. You need to have a vision.

Take stock of where you are.

Then break down your goals into actionable steps or stages.

Figure out the daily habits you need to foster that will make those goals a reality.

We are what we do every day.

Make damn sure those things are important, fulfilling, or necessary.

5) Create his own brand.

One of the lies from our social narrative is that you’ll be fulfilled with a 9-to-5 desk job and retire happily at 55.

Let me make this clear to you now… YOU WON’T.

For one, society is rapidly changing.

The technology that’s coming out now and in the near future is going to change how business and society functions.

Think about smart artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, and advanced robotics.

These industries are growing and will most likely go parabolic once smart A.I. hits the scene.

You’re not going to have these typical desk or service jobs anymore.

There won’t be a need.

A robot will simply do those jobs faster, better, and more reliably, without bitching to HR about how John drinks his patriarchal protein shakes at his desk.

You need to create your own brand.

That brand is you.

Be the brand, live the brand.

Make sure YOU are the reason you get paid, not some other company.

Put in the work and the rewards will come.

6) Dress well.

Here’s another way to get an easy leg up on your “competition.”

Again, I say “competition” because there isn’t any competition when people show up to social events dressed in oversized khakis and polos, and wearing tennis shoes.

When you have no competition, even the smallest improvements stand out to others.

Step 1, get jacked. Step 2, wear clothes that fit.

If in doubt, repeat Step 2 until you have completed Step 1.

When you have a decent physique and wear clothes that fit, everything looks better on you.

You can look good in jeans and a t-shirt, business casual, and full-on formal, it doesn’t matter.

What matters is caring about your appearance and dressing well each day.

Realize your appearance will tell a story about you. Make sure it’s the story you want others to hear.

When you dress like a slob, people assume you’re a slob, and most importantly, you get treated like a slob.

Don’t be a slob.

7) Fight.

As a man, you need to be able to fight.

Survival always comes first, but today it’s also lucky number 7 because sometimes in fights you need a little luck.

Skill, will, and some luck.

Train your skills with something like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or boxing.

Anything can happen, and the world is filled with good and evil.

Evil can strike whenever it likes.

Harden your body against physical threats.

Basically, just make yourself one tough son-of-a-bitch to kill.

8) Handle and own weapons.

Hand in hand with hand-to-hand combat is weapons manipulation.

Know how to handle, operate, and break down common handguns and rifles.

Conceal carry and train with your weapons.

Train your draw. Clear your house. Let your family know what to do when you have to use your firearm.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

You need to know how to defend yourself and others with your gun, or you’re just another liability.

9) Approach women.

California would like you to believe saying hello to a woman is rape.

Luckily, sanity will prevail in the end.

The typical male today is either too unconfident to speak to a woman, or afraid of being falsely accused of sexual harassment and getting fired from his job.

Again, the “competition” is afraid to talk to women, doesn’t lift weights, eats soy, and dresses in potato sacks.

If you simply wear clothes that fit, talk to women, and don’t be a retard, you’ll get laid.

Throw in some horny goat weed when you do.

10) Drive stick.

In a world that’s moving towards self-driving cars, be the man driving a manual.

No one knows how to operate a basic piece of machinery anymore.

Hell, they don’t even know how to turn their blinkers on.

Driving stick is simple, and there’s no excuse for you to not know how to drive one.

This comes down to being prepared.

What if you need to drive a vehicle, but don’t know how? That’s going to be a sad day.

11) Connect with the Universe.

Hiking in the wilderness, and listening to binaural beats are the two best ways I know how to do this.

When I am alone in the wild, it’s so incredibly peaceful and amazing.

You feel your presence among something greater.

It’s astounding what our world has created.

I also use binaural beats when I’m working or meditating.

These frequencies are useful when you need to clear your head or focus on work.

Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of ambient noise tracks when I’m working.

12) Survive in the wild.

If the food trucks stop running, the cities are screwed.

Large scale natural disasters or threats like electromagnetic pulses have the ability to knock out power and food delivery to places for weeks or even months.

No one knows basic survival skills anymore.

Everything is delivered in little plastic boxes. Everything is climate controlled.

When bad things happen, really bad things can happen. It’s called starving to death or dying from exposure…

Know how to survive off the land when things go south.

You can use those skills whether you’re stuck in the wilderness over night, or have to deal with some type of disturbance to modern day living, like hurricanes or EMPs.

13) Find his brethren.

It sounds cool to be the lone wolf.

You’re a badass who doesn’t need anyone else.

Only thing, even wolves need their pack.

As men, we may roam alone from time to time, but we still need our pack.

Our pack is there to push us to be better and realize our full potential.

Don’t live your life as a lone wolf.

Technology allows you to find and connect with anyone in the world.

Creating your own brand allows them to find you.

Get started now, and you’ll find your brethren.

14) Help others with his experiences.

Part of building a brand is helping others with your experiences.

People don’t care about you. They care about what you can do for them.

When you give people things they need, you’re providing value.

When you give value, you help people.

When you don’t give value, you’re just running your mouth online.

People need to be able to take something useful from your experiences.

That’s how you create change in the world.

15) Invest wisely.

Control your money.

Know how much money is flowing in and flowing out each month.

This should all be part of your daily and weekly planning.

Stay out of debt, don’t buy useless shit, stop having those daily energy drinks, and get into crypto.

If you don’t know what Bitcoin is, you’re already behind the curve, so catch up… quick.

The future isn’t going to wait for you.

Diversify your investments and be smart!

And remember, I’m not your financial adviser so don’t come crying to me if you lose it all.

16) Speak his mind.

Only the man himself can silence his own voice.

Everyone says, “I can’t say that or I’ll get fired.”

Or, “What would ___ say?!”

A man says to hell with it and speaks his mind. That’s the different between can and won’t.

Men speak their own minds. Cowards silence themselves.

Stop acting cowardly and say what you have to say.

17) Create his own future.

Everything on this list is about taking control of your life.

That means taking control of your future.

Your future is coming, whether you want it to or not, whether you stall or not.

That future is built upon the daily habits you follow, the people you surround yourself with, and the environment you put yourself in.

Take the necessary steps to make that the future you want it to be.

Your fate is up to you, and you alone.

18) Master himself.

And finally, we come to the unobtainable.

Mastery.

Mastery is always “just” out of reach.

When we think we know it all, we learn a little more. We get a little better.

A man’s work is constant work.

There are cycles, sure. Ebb and flow. But the work never ends.

Mastery is never truly obtained. The obsession won’t allow it.

Instead, it’s our duty to always strive for more, to do more, and to be more.

Happy New Year and wishing you a killer 2018,
